SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND GREAT WALK -
Discover the Sunshine Coast’s natural beauty on this 58km Great Walk through the Blackall Range. Experience some of the range’s most scenic areas: warm subtropical rainforest, tall open eucalypt forest and picturesque waterfalls.Everyone can enjoy the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. Take half-day strolls or full-day walks. Stay longer to complete the total walk (allow 4–6 days)

Short Walks
Baroon Pocket Dam to the Narrows Lookout - 2.2km one way (1–2 hours) Class 3 (moderate)
Starting at the Baroon Pocket Dam the walk passes through open woodland ridges and crosses bridges and boardwalks over palm- and vine-forested streams. The Narrows Lookout provides a unique view over the Narrows Gorge. Further up the track a boardwalk is in place to protect the habitat of the rare hip-pocket frog Assa darlingtoni. Walk up out of the gully to the Baroon lookout for views of Obi Obi Gorge, Baroon Pocket Dam and its catchment.
Mapleton Falls Lookout to Delicia Road - 2.1km one way (1.5 hours) Class 4 (moderate to strenuous)
From the Mapleton Falls lookout, follow signs through the picnic area to join the Wompoo Circuit. At the circuit’s upper end, the Great Walk leads west out of the park onto Daymar Road. Watch for traffic as the track crosses Delicia Road and enters open forest to the Delicia Road entrance.
Delicia Road Conservation Park - 3km one way (2 hours) Class 4 (moderate to strenuous)
Walk along tracks and boardwalks through wet eucalypt forest and a palm grove. Walkers share the last 1.2 km section with mountain-bike riders and horse riders. Delicia Road (Linda Garrett) Conservation Park protects a significant tall, wet sclerophyll community, with a canopy dominated by blackbutt, turpentine, brush box and flooded gum. The reserve provides habitat for two endangered frog species, wallabies and diverse bird life.

Baroon Section (Baroon Pocket Dam to Flaxton walkers’ camp)

Features: bridges crossing palm and vine-forested streams, spectacular views of the Narrows Gorge, boardwalk to protect rare frog habitat, views of Obi Obi Gorge and Baroon Pocket Dam, Kondalilla Falls and Obi Obi Creek
Mapleton Falls Section (Flaxton walkers camp to Ubajee walkers camp)
Distance: 13.1km one way
Time: 7 hours
Features: Piccabeen palm forest, Mapleton Falls, Baxter Falls, Suspension Bridge
Ubajee walkers’ camp to Thilba Thalba walkers’ camp
Distance: 13.5km one way
Time: 7 hours
Features: Gheerulla Falls, views across the Gheerulla valley, rocky creek crossings, Gheerulla Bluff, varied bird life
Thilba Thalba walkers’ camp to Gheerulla Falls
Distance: 8.8km one way
Time: 4 hours
Features: wet sclerophyll forest, views of the Gheerulla Valley and beyond, Gueerulla Falls, Gheerulla Creek crossings
Gheerulla Falls to Delicia Road Conservation Park
Distance: 6.1km one way
Time: 3 hours to Delicia Road pick-up point

CONONDALE GREAT WALK -
The Conondale Range Great Walk is located within the Conondale National Park, an hour’s drive north-west of the Sunshine Coast and a two-hour drive from Brisbane.
Access roads within the park are gravel and include several creek crossings that require a high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle.
What's special - Ancient rainforest, cascading waterfalls, crystal clear creeks, tall open forest, and expansive views. This Great Walk offers half-day walks through to the full four-day 56 km circuit walk.
