Medical Services Public hospitals are located at Caloundra, Maleny, Nambour, Noosa and Gympie. Private hospitals are located at Caloundra, Buderim, Nambour, Noosa and Gympie. Medical centres are located throughout the Sunshine Coast. Emergency Services are contacted by dialling 000.
Services for the Disabled Many public areas, shopping centres, hotels, apartments, attractions,restaurants and other businesses provide disabled services and facilities. Our Sunshine Coast Visitor Information Centres maintain a list of accessible accommodation facilities and other services available.  Please call the Centres on 1800 644 969 (from anywhere in Australia) or (07) 5420 6240 to request the list for the southern region and 07) 5459 9050 for the central region of the Sunshine Coast.
Surf Safety Lifeguards patrol all major beaches. It is advisable to swim only on patrolled beaches and to swim between the flags. Pick up a copy of the BeachWise brochure from any of our Sunshine Coast Visitor Information Centres, or visit the "Beautiful Beaches" on our web site.
