Surfing on the Sunshine Coast is made easier and more pleasant for all the surfers no matter of their surfing level or the board they use. Surfers using the shortboard are encouraged to surf at the Sunshine through to Coolum Beach stretch, Noosa, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba Spit, Alexandra Headland, Currimundi or Moffats beaches. Surfers who prefer the longboard should try surfing at Noosa's First Point, Alexandra Headland or Moffats Headland. One of the good things about surfing on the Sunshine Coast is that you do not need to have your own equipment. There are specialized shops and surfing schools which will rent the necessary gear. Of course you can always find plenty of surf shops where you can buy your own gear or just see what the latest trends are.
Some of the safest places for swimming and surfing on the Sunshine Coast are the beaches from Noosa to Mooloolaba. So if you are a beginner in the art of surfing or you just want to try it, the Sunshine Coast is the place where you want to do that. Other beaches and points where surfing on the Sunshine Coast can be done successfully are the Double Island Point, Tea Tree Bay, Sunrise Beach, Marcoola Beach and the Currumundi to Moffats stretch. Surfers from all around the world love surfing on the Sunshine Coast because they are not overcrowded and they can find an array of different point breaks, headland breaks, reef breaks and beach breaks. There are also plenty of surfing spots to choose from on the entire Sunshine Coast so if the place you are surfing is too crowded for your taste you can always try a new one
